Circuit Program
Day 1: Departure from Hammamet
Morning departure from your hotel in Hammamet in a 4x4 towards southern Tunisia.
- Crossing the Dorsal Mountains and the oases of Southern Tunisia.
- Arrival in Douz, the gateway to the Sahara, known for its palm trees and hot springs.
- Visit to the city and its traditional souks.
- Continuation to Erfoud, the City of Fossils, famous for its jewelry made from fossil stone.
- End of day in Merzouga, village on the edge of the Erg Chebbi.
- Start of the camel excursion towards the camp in the dunes (approx. 1 hour).
Evening in the Desert
Installation at the Berber camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
- Night in a traditional Berber tent or comfortable room.
- Dinner under the stars with traditional Berber music.
- Stargazing in the exceptionally pure sky of the desert.
Day 2: Sunrise & Return
Very early wake-up to witness the sunrise over the dunes (optional).
- Traditional Berber breakfast at the camp.
- Camel excursion back to Merzouga (approx. 1 hour).
- Visit to the Saharan Heritage Museum in Merzouga.
- Departure to Rissani, former capital of Southern Morocco, to visit the traditional souk (on Tuesdays).
- Return to Hammamet via Ouarzazate, "the gateway to the desert".
- Arrival in Hammamet in the late afternoon.
