Airport Practical Info
Everything you need to know about Enfidha-Hammamet Airport before you land.

Single modern terminal opened in 2009, designed to handle European charter and low-cost flights. ATMs, currency exchange booths and SIM card vendors are available in the arrivals hall. Much less crowded than Tunis-Carthage — you clear arrivals quickly.
Parking
Our cars are in the airport parking area, a 2-minute walk from the arrivals exit. You walk straight from the terminal to your car with our agent. No shuttle needed. The parking area is well-lit and monitored.
Fuel
Return full/full policy. Your car is delivered with a full tank. The nearest petrol station is on the A1 autoroute, just a few minutes from the airport exit. Fuel in Tunisia is among the cheapest in the Mediterranean.
SIM Cards & WiFi
Ooredoo and Tunisie Telecom kiosks in the arrivals hall sell tourist SIM cards with data packages from around 10 TND. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal. Get connected before you hit the road.
Tips for Driving in the Hammamet & Sousse Region
- The A1 autoroute is your best friend — it connects Enfidha airport directly to Hammamet (south) and Tunis (north). Modern, well-lit, and fast. Tolls are minimal — around 3-5 TND per section, cash only at toll booths.
- Hammamet has two zones — Hammamet Centre (medina, old town) and Hammamet Sud / Yasmine Hammamet (resort strip). Make sure you know which one your hotel is in. GPS will handle it.
- Port El Kantaoui is well-signposted — exit the A1 at the Sousse Nord exit. The marina area can be busy in summer evenings, but parking is available near the port.
- Day trip to Kairouan or El Jem — both are about 1 hour inland from Sousse on good roads. The amphitheatre at El Jem is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Tunisia's must-sees. Easy to do in a day from your beach resort.
- Avoid driving at night in rural areas — livestock, unlit vehicles and pedestrians on the road. Keep night driving to cities and autoroutes.
- Speed limits: 50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h on open roads, 110 km/h on autoroutes. Speed cameras are common — stick to the limits.
